The uniquely named Shotgun Honeymoon was born in Lexington, KY, although his acoustic-based songwriting didn't take root until his college days at Florida State University. After teaching himself to play guitar, Honeymoon drifted between various Florida cities, honing his craft while playing regional shows in support of his high-school music teacher's band. An itch to head west prompted him to relocate to Los Angeles, where the musician's intimate pop/rock tunes landed him a deal with Broken Halo Records. Enlisting the help of producer Jeff Trott (who helped co-write such hits as "Soak Up the Sun" and "Every Day Is a Winding Road" with Sheryl Crow), Honeymoon recorded the debut LP Foregone Conclusion and released the record in September 2007.
