My Bio:
Background
I was born into an Irish-Italian family in Manhattan, New York so as you can imagine, it’s been crazy from the start! My family moved here to Tucson when I was 7years old, we then left for California when I was 13 years old and after attending 4 High Schools all over California, we eventually came back to Tucson when I was 18..A definite rollercoaster ride for sure! I attended Pima College for a brief time as a Journalism student but to be perfectly honest I just didn’t really grasp the whole school thing and decided that it just wasn’t for me(don’t try this at home)..I started in radio 5 years ago as a traffic reporter during afternoon drive and eventually would become host of Acoustic Sunset here on the Mountain which Has been an awesome experience.
Personal
I know there is a huge umbrella that falls under Art and if a funnel were to be placed under that umbrella, these are a few things that would pour out:
1) My love for early French New Wave cinema-Jean Luc Godard
2) The book “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
3) The idea of something more
4) Hanging out with my brother doing absolutely nothing
5) Sipping espresso outside some European café wondering why there is no Modiliani artwork on the walls!
Highlights
For starters, I would say that being the host of Acoustic Sunset has been the highlight of my very short radio career. Waiting tables for almost 10 years at several restaraunts is also something I am pretty proud of, it taught me a lot about interacting with different types of people and also how to listen, which I think is the most important trait in a person. Feeding my cats, writing while everyone is asleep, old records, vintage clothing, scarves…….
Notable Places I've Been:
Paris, That restaurant in Belgium, New Orleans……
Where I’d like to go
Sicily, Genoa, Downtown Athens, The Metrodome, That restaurant in Belgium, Tokyo, Mexico City, The World Cup.
